The SA Series stainless steel insert ball bearing is designed for equipment exposed to washdown, humidity, and chemical contact. Rings and balls are made of stainless steel, while the inner ring carries a set screw locking arrangement for shaft retention. The outer ring is machined to a spherical contour, so the bearing seats into standard concave pillow block or flanged housings and absorbs shaft deflection without concentrating load on the raceway edge. Both sides are fitted with contact rubber seals, and the bearing is filled with food-grade grease at production. Bore sizes run from 12 mm to 50 mm, and operating temperature stays between -20°C and +110°C. The series is applied in food processing lines, packaging equipment, pharmaceutical machinery, and bottling conveyors.
Stainless rings and balls
Resist rust and surface degradation in wet or mildly corrosive environments, keeping rotation smooth through repeated washdown cycles.
Spherical outer contour
The rounded outer surface seats into concave housings and compensates for small shaft misalignment without transferring edge load to the raceway.
Set screw shaft locking
Two socket set screws secure the inner ring to the shaft, allowing straightforward mounting and removal during planned maintenance windows.
Sanitary grease fill
Factory-filled with food-grade lubricant and sealed on both sides to limit contaminant entry in washdown conditions.
