How to diagnose a failing MITSUBISHI clutch release bearing?

Listen for a chirping or grinding noise when the clutch pedal is partially depressed. Increased pedal vibration or difficulty engaging gears also indicates bearing wear. Is it necessary to replace the bearing with the clutch kit?

Installation
